My Work With Drexel’s Home Purchase Assistance Program

What does it mean to be a part of something bigger than yourself?  I answered that question in August of 2011 when I was introduced to Drexel’s Home Purchase Assistance Program. Since then, as I’ve become more and more active in the program, it’s come clear to me what a rare thing it is to belong to the inner circle of this incredible, diverse community, and it’s with great pride that I find myself among a very few real estate agents on the program’s list of Preferred Vendors.

In our working lives, yes, we all have to make a buck.  But being a part of this special, unusual program has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my real estate career.  What could be better than helping people find a home within a program that ADDS dollar signs to their budget?

As a bonus to me, and to my Drexel Program clients, I have become an expert on the city streets and the properties that make up the Drexel catchment area.  I have helped guide clients through many purchases inside these borders, working with builders, contractors, and sellers as well to create more and better properties for the Drexel community. The Program reduces commute time and carbon footprints, and strengthens communities and neighborhoods.  One of many reasons to be proud to be part of Drexel’s Home Purchase Assistance Program!
